All clients must agree to abide within the Terms of Service for Texas A+ Tutoring in order to receive tutorial services from Texas A+ Tutoring.
Chaperone:
A parent or guardian (at least 18 years of age) must be present during the entire tutorial session when tutor is present with student.
Session Length:
Each tutorial session is 55 minutes in length. The first 50 minutes are used for the tutor to work with the student. The remaining 5 minutes are for the tutor to inform the parent/guardian on the student’s progress.
Session Cancellation:
Texas A+ Tutoring has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Reservations for tutorial services must be cancelled 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled tutorial time. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to cancel tutorial session with Texas A+ Tutoring through the parent/guardian’s Texas A+ Tutoring Online Account. If parent/guardian does not cancel tutorial session 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled tutorial time, parent/guardian will be responsible for payment of tutorial session.
Make-up Sessions:
After proper cancellation procedures have occurred through parent’s Texas A+ Tutoring Online Account, parents are highly encouraged to schedule an “Extra Tutorial Session” through the parent’s personal Texas A+ Tutoring Online Account. This session will ensure that student is receiving the proper academic attention throughout the week to prepare for upcoming tests and quizzes.
Extra Session and One-Time Session
Parents that have weekly regularly scheduled tutorials sessions through Texas A+ Tutoring are to schedule “Extra Tutorial Session” when scheduling a tutorial session through the parent’s Texas A+ Tutoring Online Account. Parents that do no have weekly regularly schedule tutorials sessions through Texas A+ Tutoring are to schedule “One-Time Session” when scheduling a tutorial session through the parent’s Texas A+ Tutoring Online Account.
Same-Day Sessions:
There is an eight-hour window for scheduling same-day tutorial sessions. You must allow at least eight hours to schedule a tutorial session for the same day. For example, to schedule a session at 6:00pm, that session must be scheduled by 10:00am the day of the session.
School Holidays:
Texas A+ tutorial sessions will continue during school holidays, except for Thanksgiving, Spring Break, Winter and Summer break. Please make certain that students bring materials home from school. If parent/guardian needs to cancel any tutorial sessions during a school holiday (other than Thanksgiving, Spring Break, Winter and Summer Breaks), Session Cancellation procedures occur.
Tardiness and No Show:
A tutor will wait at the tutorial location for the parent/guardian and student to arrive for 10 minutes. If the parent/guardian and student do not arrive within 10 minutes, that session is considered a “No Show” and the parent/guardian is responsible to pay for the missed hour. If the parent/guardian and student arrive within the 10 minute time period, the tutorial session will resume for the remainder of the 55-minute session.
Payment:
All Tutorial Sessions are paid for through the Texas A+ Tutoring Online Account Management System using a valid credit card. Each session is individually charged after 24-hours cancellation policy is enacted. Within 24 hours of the tutorial session, clients will be charged for the upcoming tutorial session. By agreeing to these policies, you grant Texas A+ Tutoring permission to debit your account the appropriate amount for scheduled tutorial sessions as they occur.
Solicitation of Texas A+ Tutors:
Tutors who have contracted with Texas A+ Tutoring have agreed in writing not to accept direct employment independent from Texas A+ Tutoring. Texas A+ Tutors are not allowed to accept direct employment from Texas A+ Clients or from Texas A+ Client referrals within 3 years. As a Texas A+ Client, you hereby agree not to solicit tutoring services from a Texas A+ Tutor, except through Texas A+ Tutoring.
